Please read these conditions carefully before purchasing or engaging Tiger Alarms services.

Conditions of Sale and Terms of Payment

In these conditions Tiger Alarms cc will be referred to as "the Company" and the person, firm, association or company buying from "the Company" will be referred to as "the Purchaser".

1. Equipment Purchase

The Company hereby sells to the Purchaser and the Purchaser hereby purchases from the Company the equipment more fully specified in the Annexure Specifications.

2. Payment

The purchase price for the equipment bought shall be payable, without deduction for any reason, against installation thereof.

Permission

3. The Purchaser shall obtain the necessary permission from the owners of the premises, public authorities (if necessary) and others whose permission is or may be requisite for the wiring, installation and continued use of the System and all other provisions of this Agreement. The Company, however, will give its expert advice and help in assisting the Purchaser to obtain any such permission. All fees (if any) or other payments required for the aforementioned permission shall be paid by the Purchaser.

Installation

4. The Company undertakes as soon as possible, commensurate with the exigencies of its business, to commence the installation of the System and to prosecute the work thereof with all due diligence until completion, provided that performance by the Company shall be subject to delay by war, strikes, riots or civil commotions, breakages, fires, unforeseen commercial delays, acts of God, unavailability of components, equipment and other requirements for the System, permission or requirements of building owners, government, public or other authorities. The Purchaser shall afford the Company every assistance to enable it to complete the installation and shall not hamper or otherwise interfere with its workmen in the performance of their duties. The Purchaser shall effect any necessary repairs to defective portions of the premises which may have the effect of interfering with the proper operation of the System. The Purchaser shall pay a cash sale fee upon completion of installation of the System.

General

5. This agreement covers all of the agreements between the parties hereto and the Company shall not be responsible for any undertaking, representation, or warranty given, orally or otherwise, which is not specified in this Agreement. The specifications detailed in the Annexure have been approved by the Purchaser. Furthermore no variation of this Agreement shall be valid or binding on the Company, save those in writing and signed by or on behalf of the Company.

6. Any extension of time to pay or other indulgence granted by the Company shall not affect or prejudice the rights of the Company under this Agreement to require strict compliance at all times.

Indemnity

7. Should the equipment, 24hr monitoring centre and/or armed response fail to operate for any reason whatsoever, you will not have any claims against Tiger Alarms cc or its agents for any loss arising from such failure, save for replacing, repairing, monitoring and/or armed responding at the option of Tiger Alarms cc.

8. Without prejudice to any other rights which the Seller may have hereunder, and without prejudice to any claim for damages which the Seller may have, the Seller shall in the event of any default on the part of the Purchaser be entitled to remove the whole or any part of the goods supplied. The Seller shall not be liable to the Purchaser for any damages which may be caused to any premises by reason of the Seller's removal of the goods. Until the Purchaser has paid the amount due in full, the Purchaser hereby appoints the Seller as agent irrevocably in rem suam insofar as the same may be necessary to effect the said removal.

9. Cancellation

In the event of the Purchaser wishing to cancel or vary this order at any time, and providing the Seller agrees hereto, the Purchaser agrees and hereby undertakes forthwith to pay for all costs already incurred by the Seller in the execution of this order, whether fully or partially completed, to a maximum of 20% of the purchase price.

10. Domicilium

The Purchaser hereby chooses domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes incidental to or arising out of this Contract at the address given on the reverse side hereof.

11. Jurisdiction

Any action or proceedings which the Seller may institute against the Purchaser may at the sole option of the Seller be instituted in the Durban Magistrate's Court having jurisdiction over the Purchaser, notwithstanding the subject matter of such action or proceedings being beyond the ordinary jurisdiction of such Court. This clause constitutes a consent in writing in terms of Section 45(1) of the Magistrate's Court Act No. 32 of 1944 or any statutory modifications or amendments thereof.

Contract

12. The Purchaser shall be monitored and/or under armed response for no less than 12 months with Tiger Alarms under these terms and conditions.

Who We Are

What Information We Collect

When you complete our quote request form, we collect the following personal information:

Name · Phone number · Email address · Area / suburb · Property type · Service of interest · Preferred contact method · Any additional details you choose to provide in the message field.

We do not collect special personal information (such as race, health, or financial data) through this website.

Why We Collect It (Purpose)

Your information is collected solely to respond to your security quote enquiry and, if you become a client, to provide and administer our security services. We process your information on the lawful basis of a pre-contractual inquiry and, where applicable, the performance of a contract.

We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.

Who Has Access to Your Information

Your personal information is accessed only by Tiger Alarms staff who need it to respond to your enquiry or service your account. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

We may share information with service providers who assist us in operating our business (e.g. email services), but only to the extent necessary and subject to confidentiality obligations.

How We Protect Your Information

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against loss, unauthorised access, disclosure, or misuse. Access to client records is restricted to authorised staff only.

Your Rights Under POPIA

As a data subject you have the right to:

Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
Correction — request that inaccurate information be corrected.
Deletion — request that your information be deleted, subject to any legal retention obligations.
Objection — object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
Complaint — lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa if you believe your rights have been violated.

1. Tell them about us

Recommend Tiger Alarms to anyone who needs better security — a neighbour, family member, colleague, or friend.

2. They mention your name

When your friend requests a quote, they simply tick "I was referred" on the form and enter your name.

3. You get a free service

Once their order is confirmed and active for a month, you qualify for one free standard alarm service call-out.

What you get

One free standard alarm service call-out — call-out fee and labour included — for every friend you successfully refer. There's no limit on how many times you can earn one, and rewards are valid for 12 months.

It doesn't cover replacement parts, upgrades, new installations, or emergency/after-hours call-outs. Ready to redeem a reward you've already earned? Just give us a call and quote your friend's name.

A few things to know

Your friend needs to be a genuinely new Tiger Alarms customer, and they'll need to place an order for one of our services — a quick phone call that doesn't lead to a booking doesn't count. Your own account needs to be in good standing when you claim the reward, and it's one reward per successful referral, so there's no cap on how often you can take part.

Refer-a-Friend Reward — Terms & Conditions

Tiger Alarms (Pty) Ltd ("Tiger Alarms", "the Company")

These terms govern the Refer-a-Friend promotion ("the Promotion"), under which an existing Tiger Alarms customer ("the Referrer") may earn a free alarm service by referring a new customer ("the Referred Friend").

1. Eligibility

1.1 The Referrer must be an active Tiger Alarms customer in good standing (account up to date, no arrears) at the time the reward is requested and redeemed.

1.2 The Referred Friend must be a new customer who has not previously held an active account with Tiger Alarms.

1.3 The Referred Friend must place a successful order for any service offered by Tiger Alarms (including, without limitation, installations, monitoring, armed response, and/or maintenance plans), and, where a minimum contract term applies to that service, complete it before the reward is confirmed.

1.4 A service call request resolved telephonically (i.e. where the customer's query or issue is fully addressed over the phone, without an order for a service, installation, or subscription) does not qualify as a successful order for the purposes of this Promotion.

2. How the Promotion Works

2.1 The Referrer introduces a friend, family member, neighbour, or associate to Tiger Alarms.

2.2 To qualify, the Referred Friend must confirm to Tiger Alarms, at the time of signing up, that they were referred by the Referrer.

2.3 The referral is only deemed successful once the Referred Friend's order (per clause 1.3) has been fulfilled and, where applicable, active and in good standing for a minimum of 1 consecutive month.

3. The Reward

3.1 Once a referral is successful (per clause 2.3), the Referrer becomes eligible for one (1) free standard alarm service call-out.

3.2 The free service covers standard call-out and labour only. It does not include:
  •  Replacement parts, components, or equipment;
  •  Additional works beyond a standard service (e.g. rewiring, upgrades, new installations);
  •  Call-outs classified as emergency or after-hours, unless otherwise agreed by Tiger Alarms.

3.3 The free service must be requested by the existing customer (the Referrer) and used at the address associated with their existing Tiger Alarms account.

3.4 There is no cash alternative to this reward. It cannot be exchanged, sold, or transferred to another person or account.

4. Limits

4.1 One free service is earned per successful referral. There is no limit to the number of times a Referrer may participate, provided each referral independently meets the qualifying criteria in clause 2.

4.2 Rewards do not expire but must be redeemed within 12 months of qualifying, after which they lapse.

5. Redemption

5.1 To redeem a reward, the Referrer should contact Tiger Alarms directly, quoting the name of the Referred Friend and the approximate date of sign-up.

5.2 Tiger Alarms will verify eligibility before scheduling the free service.

6. General

6.1 Tiger Alarms reserves the right to amend, suspend, or withdraw this Promotion at any time, without prior notice, provided that rewards already earned prior to any such change will be honoured.

6.2 Tiger Alarms reserves the right to refuse or withdraw a reward in cases of suspected abuse, fraud, or manipulation of the Promotion (including self-referral or duplicate accounts).

6.3 This Promotion is separate from, and does not affect, the standard Tiger Alarms Conditions of Sale and Terms of Payment, which continue to apply to all customer accounts.
